Woman files FIR about missing husband after 18 years

Eighteen years after her husband went missing, a woman lodged a missing complaint at Bhilad police station here, albeit not to trace him but to sell the property in his name to finance their daughter's marriage, police said today.

Manju Janaksinh Parmar (50), a resident of Borlai village of Umargam taluka here filed a complaint with Bhilad police last week stating that her husband, Janaksinh Parmar, had left home in January 1995 without informing her and has not returned yet.

Four cops suspended, booked for BSP activist's custodial death

PTI :A BSP activist died allegedly in police custody in Saharanpur district, following which four policemen were suspended and booked under murder charges.

Luchman Singh (58), a BSP activist and former gram pradhan died in a police station at the Rampur Maniharan town in Saharanpur district on Saturday, police said. Singh was taken into police custody in connection with an inquiry regarding the murder of his nephew, they said.

12 people run over by train in Bihar

At least 12 people, most of them pilgrims, were crushed to death under the wheels of Saharsa-Patna Rajrani Express at Bhamara Railway Station in Bihar this morning.

The victims, mostly kanwarias (devotees of Lord Shiva), were standing on the railway tracks at the station when the Rajrani Express hit them at the station under Samastipur division of East Central Railway.

​US woman attacked with blade on Mumbai train

NDTV: An American woman was attacked with a blade on board a local train in Mumbai at around 5 pm today.

24-year-old Michelle Mark, who has been working in Mumbai for the past three years and commuting by train often, had boarded an empty compartment of the local at Churchgate station, which is on the western line. The man boarded the train at Marine Lines station and carried out the attack before the train reached Charni Road.
