New Delhi, Apr 30 (IBNS) The Lok Sabha on Tuesday passed the Finance Bill and Demands for Grants for various ministries without a debate after Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members walked out of the lower House of the Indian Parliament protesting against the coal blocks allocation scam.

The Finance Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha with 12 minor amendments. It will now go to the Rajya Sabha before going to the President for his assent.

Amid ruckus, the BJP members walked out of the House over the coal scam while the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) members walked out over the demand of removing Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) Chairman PC Chacko.

The Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government was successful in achieving a breakthrough in the ongoing deadlock in the Parliament as the opposition members agreed to allow financial business to be taken up on Tuesday.

The breakthrough was achieved during an all-party meeting called by Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar on Monday.

Meanwhile, both the Houses of the Parliament were adjourned on Tuesday amid ruckus created by the opposition members, who shouted slogans demanding Prime Minister Manmohan Singh´s resignation over the coal blocks allocation issue.

Like almost a routine, both the Houses of the Parliament were adjourned till 12 noon shortly after they commenced functioning.
