Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar convenes all-party meet

New Delhi: Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar has convened a meeting of various party leaders at noon Thursday to discuss the smooth conduct of the coming winter session of parliament, an official said.

The meet, to be held at the parliament library hall, will be attended by senior leaders from the ruling United Progressive Alliance (UPA), the opposition National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and other parties.

The winter session Nov 22-Dec 21 is scheduled to legislate several important bills which include the contentious Lokpal bill and the Food Security bill.
