The Governor has called Chavan and Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal for separate meetings on the issue, Raj Bhavan sources said.

Chavan reached Raj Bhavan at around 1130 hours and proceeded for the meeting with the Governor, they said.

Assembly election results were announced on October 22, but the new government is yet to be sworn in.

The delay in formation of the government is being attributed to wrangling between Congress and NCP on the issue of portfolio allocation.
