It has been raised on the lines of the National Security Guard (NSG), popularly known as the Black Cat commandos.

The Force One would be headquartered in or around Mumbai while it would also have units in Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Nashik and some other big cities.

Over the past few months, a group of nearly 200 officers and men are being trained in Mumbai and Pune in various aspects of counter-terror operations. ``This would be a special and dedicated force,`` a top Maharashtra police official said.

Besides this, a hub of NSG has also been set up in Mumbai.

As far as the anti-terrorism response in Mumbai is concerned, police chief D Sivanandhan said that he has selected around 1,000 policemen who are being trained by NSG and Army officials. ``Already 39 combat teams have come into being,`` he said.
