The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday opposed the bail plea of Sadhvi Pragya Thakur on the grounds that she had played a direct role in the 2008 Malegaon blast.
Thakur is one of the prime accused in the Malegaon blasts case of Sept 29, 2008.
Mumbai´s Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) claimed that Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur formed a group to take revenge for the Mumbai train bomb blasts and that her motorcycle was used in bomb blast.
Sadhvi Pragya has been charged under Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).
The case will be heard on Jan 21.
Six people were killed and 100 others were injured in the 2008 Malegaon blast.
The Supreme Court in September refused to grant bail to Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur who is now in jail in the case.
Arrested in the Malegaon case, she is in jail for the past four years.
Her arrest also raised the debate over Hindu terror.
