Police have reportedly arrested two persons. Three others, including the prime suspect, are absconding.

Mehwish has claimed her family was behind the murder.

"They have killed my husband, they will kill me now. I am nine months pregnant. My husband would have been alive if police protection was provided," the woman, Mehwish, 26, told CNN IBN.

The police has dismissed her theory saying it was the outcome of a personal feud.

Reacting to the incident, Aamir Khan said he would speak to the authorities concerned to ensure safety of the rest of the family.

"The culprits must be brought to book," he said.
