New Delhi, July 4 (IANS) A 26-year-old man was murdered Wednesday at his home in west Delhi, police said.
According to a police officer, the deceased, Ashok Kumar, was strangled to death, allegedly by two people who were known to him, at his flat in west Delhi's Manak Vihar area.
"Kumar's brother Vinod, who lived with him, discovered the body and called the police at 1 p.m. And found the door ajar. Apparently, Ashok was strangulated to death with the power cable of the refrigerator," a police official told IANS.
The official added that the dead body was sent to the nearby Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital for post mortem.
According to a senior police official, the killers ransacked the flat and fled with Rs.1.5 lakh but the security camera in the building where the deceased lived, captured their images.
"The deceased's relatives have identified one of the suspects as his friend. Apparently, it was a case of personal enmity," he added, claiming that the efforts were on to nab the suspects.
Kumar lived with his brother and was in the milk business.
