Chennai: MDMK general secretary Vaiko on Sunday met suspended DMK leader MK Alagiri at his residence in Madurai and sought his support for the Lok Sabha polls.
Emerging from the meet, Vaiko told reporters that he sought Alagiri's support for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
"I came to meet Alagiri to garner support for me. I wanted him to support me in the Lok Sabha polls," he told mediapersons.
The meeting comes after the MDMK became a part of the BJP-led NDA fold.
In January, Karunanidhi said he suspended Alagiri from all party posts because he used harsh words against the former Tamil Nadu chief minister's younger son MK Stalin.
