MIDC witnesses a fire break-out

A commercial complex Akruti Trade centre in Andheri's Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area in Mumbai witnessed a fire break-out on Friday evening.

The reports suggest that the fire sparked from a canteen on the sixth floor of the complex and within no time, it reached the seventh floor of the building.

However, no injury or death has been reported but assets worth of lakhs have been destroyed.

The precise reason for the incident is still unknown but it is believed the fire broke out due to cylinder burst out.

Twently fire trucks were rushed to bring the blaze under control.

The building houses various software companies and offices of share brokers.
