Hyderabad, Jan. 7 (IBNS): Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) leader and MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi is expected to appear before police on Monday.
According to reports quoting the police, the 42-year-old leader will have his statements recorded in connection with the hate-speech cases.
Owaisi returned from London early on Monday and was greeted by a large number of his supporters. He was in London for treatment of intestinal injuries that he had suffered when he was attacked by rivals over a land dispute.
A curfew has been imposed in Nirmal town of Adilabad district till 6 pm on Monday to avoid untoward incidents.
On Saturday, Akbaruddin´s brother and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi told NDTV that Akbaruddin would surrender once he returned from London.
"My brother will not run away from the law," he said.
