Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq Thursday lauded his team for winning the crucial second ODI and seal the series at the Eden Gardens here.

The 85-run win ensured Pakistan their all-win record at the iconic venue, that also celebrated 25-years of the first ODI that was played here.

Ironically the two teams played the match and Pakistan won by two wickets.

Thursday's win helped Pakistan seal the three-match series 2-0 with still a match left.

Misbah lauded his openers Nasir Jamshed (106) and Mohammad Hafeez (76), who gave Pakistan a brilliant start with their 141-run stand in just 23 overs.

"I think the team really played well, especially the way openers started. They gave a really, really good start and then the bowlers did the job. I think the way the wicket was playing and the openers were scoring 300 was on the card. Otherwise it was not a wicket that was not so easy to score on," said Misbah.

Talking about his bowlers, Misbah had words of praise for young Junaid Khan. The left arm pacer finished with impressive figures of three for 39 while off-spinner Saeed Ajmal was again the pick of the bowlers bagging three for 20 from his full quota.

"I think the bowlers are really doing a great job, especially Junaid who is moving it both ways and asking questions of the batsmen, Irfan has his height, Gul also bowled well today. Ajmal and Hafeez always deliver for us. Fantastic crowd, I enjoy playing here, it´s something you don´t have in any other ground in the world," he said.

Man of the Match Jamshed said it was a dream for him to score a century at the Eden.

"I just enjoy my batting, last time I missed the Man of the Match but luckily this time they gave it to me. I just kept a cool mind, and Hafeez played a great innings. The pitch was a little bit slow, and I just played according to the ball. It was a dream to play in the ground," he said.
