MJ still rules hearts on his birth anniversary

Michael Jackson may have died but his legacy as the king of pop still shines brightly in the hearts of millions of his fans who voted for him in the MTV Video Music Award.

Popular music channel MTV released a poll result on the top moments that was selected by music lovers in the program´mes that has spanned for nearly three decades.

Jackson´s performance for a medley song that he had performed around 1995 was considered to be best pop performances for a medley by his fans.

The results that were released on Friday showed that Jackson´s had grabbed 57 percent of the vote to top the list of the most iconic performance.

He was ahead of the two pop divas- Madonna and Lady Gaga.

This is perhaps the best gift to the late pop icon who would have completed 52nd birthday on Monday.

His popular numbers included tracks like ´Beat It´, ´Thriller´, ´Billie Jean´.

In 2009, Michael Jackson died at the age of 50 of acute propofol intoxication after suffering from cardiac arrest at his home in the Holmby Hills neighborhood in Los Angeles, California.
