Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi is expected to come to New Delhi to attend a National Development Council (NDC) meeting for approving the 12th Five Year Plan on Thursday, said reports.
This would be Modi´s first trip to the national capital since he took oath as the Gujarat chief minister, for the fourth time, on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will chair the meeting, which will be attended by various cabinet ministers and chief ministers of different states. West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee will not be attending the meeting. She will be represented by the state´s finance minister Amit Mitra.
Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa, who attended Modi´s swearing-in ceremony on Wednesday, and Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar will also attend the Thursday meeting here.
