Mumbai, June 22 (IBNS) At least two people were killed and five others were injured after a four-storeyed building collapsed in Mumbai on Saturday, said police.
The dilapidated Piyush Building located in Dahisar suburb of Mumbai collapsed around 6.30 am on Saturday.
The police said the building was illegally occupied by unauthorised dwellers.
Fire fighters and locals are still engaged in rescue work.
"The two deceased have been identified as Faizan Sheikh and Dharmendra Harijan. They were vegetable sellers. Five others were rescued alive from the debris. There may be more people trapped inside," said a fire official.
At least 10 people were killed when a three-storeyed building collapsed in Maharashtra´s Thane district on Friday, police said.
