Mumbai Indians beat KKR

Riding on Rohit Sharma's knock of 109 runs Mumbai Indians defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 27 runs in the 58th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at Eden Gardens here on Saturday.

Chasing 183 runs for victory, KKR batsmen managed to score 155 runs for the loss of four wickets in their quota of 20 overs.

J Kallis remained the top scorer for KKR with his knock of 79 runs.

He hit seven boundaries and three sixes in the match.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians scored 182 runs for the loss of one wicket in their quota of 20 overs.

R Sharma hit a brilliant knock of 109 runs from 60 deliveries. He hit 12 boundaries and five sixes and remained not out till the end of the innings.

H Gibbs remained not out at 66 runs.

Both added 167 runs in the second wicket partnership.

Mumbai Indians only lost the wicket of S Tendulkar who scored 2 runs in the match.

Shakib Al Hasan picked up the wicket of Tendulkar.
