Mumbai: Two injured in Metro bridge collapse

At least two people were injured when a section of an under-construction Metro bridge collapsed in Mumbai's Andheri area on Tuesday.

According to reports, the accident occurred when a pillar of the metro bridge of the Anderi-Kurla route collapsed.

Two fire engines have reached the spot.

The injured people were taken to a nearby hospital.

Pertinently, heavy rains lashed Mumbai and Thane on Monday and disrupted normal life in the city.

Andheri is a suburb of Mumbai city.

A landslide was also reported from Chembur area of Mumbai.
