Former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf, now living in self-exile in United Kingdom, on Thursday cancelled his plans of returning to Pakistan amid critical political situation in the south Asian country, Geo News reported.
Musharraf cancelled his return on Thursday after initially stating that he would return to Pakistan at the end of January.
Earlier this month, Musaharraf had said that he would return to his home country between Jan 27-30.
"I will be back to Pakistan between January 27 and 30," Musharraf said addressing a public rally near Mazar-e-Quaid in Dubai through video conferencing, according to Pakistan´s Geo TV.
An anti-terrorism Pakistan court had last year declared Musharraf a proclaimed offender or fugitive for allegedly not cooperating with Federal Investigation Agency in the case of assassination of former premier Benazir Bhutto.
According to media reports he was likely to be arrested on his arrival in Pakistan.
