Muslims across world are celebrating Eid-al-Fitr, giving them the opportunity to escape from the violence and strife and experience some peace.
Eid al-Fitr, or Eid, is an important religious day celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted all Indians on the occasion of Eid and wished that the spirit of peace and brotherhood may prevail.
"Eid-ul-Fitr greetings! May this auspicious day further the spirit of peace and brotherhood in our society," he tweeted.
