NEET counseling 2018: MCC starts registration process; Know the official dates and steps to register here

The Medical Council of India (MCC) has started the registration process for medical seat counseling for students who have cleared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2018.Candidates must submit their registrations through the official website,

MCC conducts counselling for 15% of AIQ/deemed/central universities/ESIC and AFMC (MBBS/BDS) seats for students who have qualified for NEET conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

This year, approximately 13 lakh candidates had appeared for NEET 2018 which was held on May 6, 2018.The results of NEET 2018 were announced on June 4 and 53.85% of candidates had successfully qualified in the examinations.

With 99.99 percentile, Kalpana Kumari topped NEET 2018 and has scored 691 marks out of 720 in CBSE NEET Results 2018.

Important dates

Round 1

Registration/payment and choice filling: June 13th to 18th (up to 5pm)

Last date for payment: June 19th, 12pm

Choice filling/locking: June 19th, 10am to 5pm

Processing of seat allotment: June 20th and 21st

Results: June 22nd

Reporting: June 23rd to July 3rd

Round 2

Registration/payment and choice filling: July 6th to 8th (up to 5pm)

Last date for payment: July 9th, 12pm

Choice filling/locking: July 9th, 10am to 5pm

Processing of seat allotment: July 10th and 11th

Results: July 12th

Reporting: July 13th to July 22nd

Mop round

Registration/payment and choice filling: August 12 to 14 (5 pm)

Last date for payment: August 15 (12 pm)

Choice filling/locking: August 15 (10 am to 5 pm)

Processing of seat allotment: August 16

Result: August 17

Reporting: August 18 to 26

All those candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2018 and have obtained a minimum of 50 per cent (40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC and 45th percentage for general-physically handicapped) can appear for the counselling.

How to register for MCC 2018 NEET counselling

1) Visit on to the official MCC website,

2) Click on the ‘UG Medical Counseling’ tab or click here for direct link 

3) Click on ‘New Registration’ on the left tab and proceed to enter the details in the spaces given

Once the registration process is complete, make sure to take a print of the same for future reference purposes.
