Shocking fans across the country, Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone has said that the Indian Grand Prix might not be staged in the Asian nation next year, reports said.
"Is India going to happen next year? Probably not," Ecclestone told Reuters news agency on Sunday.
He said that the problem of hosting the race in India was ´very political´.
The Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida has staged two Formula One races so far.
This year the race is scheduled for Oct 27.
In 2011, India hosted a Grand Prix for the first time.
