Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden, has warned that 'no retaliatory options had been taken off the table,' when it comes to America's possible response to Tehran's alleged involvement in a plot to assassinate Saudi Arabia's ambassador to Washington.
"We're in the process of uniting world public opinion continuing to isolate and condemn their behaviour," the vice president said adding that ,"nothing has been taken off the table."
The White House reiterated his remarks, saying it was taking "no options off the table" in dealing with Iran, but that US policy was focused on pressing for greater sanctions, the Telegraph reports.
The warnings came as the US Justice Department charged two men with conspiring for Iran's security forces to kill Jubeir on US soil.
According to the report, military commanders in Tehran allegedly ordered an Iranian-American to blow up embassies in Washington and to assassinate Jubeir in a 'deadly murder plot'.
Attorney General Eric Holder said that the plot was 'directed and approved by elements of the Iranian government.'
He further pointed out the alleged involvement of members of Iran's special operations Quds Force. (ANI)
