Now, BJP's Shatrughan Sinha endorses Ranjit Sinha's appointment as CBI chief

Ram Jethmalani has found a new supporter in the form of actor and Member of Parliament Shatrughan Sinha, who has appreciated the government's decision to appoint Ranjit Sinha as the new director of the Central Bureau of Investigation

He described Ranjit Sinha as a highly qualified police officer.

"It is a fair and transparent work, I am saying all this not only because he is from Bihar, but also his candidature has happened through CBI. He is the senior most IPS officer and got a stamp of CVC," said Sinha.

Asked about the letter written to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and views expressed by senior BJP leaders and leaders of opposition in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley respectively, Sinha said that he is not aware of the fact that what they have said.

Yesterday, Ram Jethmalani, also a Rajya Sabha MP from BJP, had expressed same views on the issue and invited embarrassment for he party. (ANI)
