The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday conducted raids on the premises of ex-Uttar Pradesh Health Minister Anant Mishra in Lucknow and Kanpur in connection to the multi-crore National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) scam.
According to CBI sources, the probe agency seized several important documents linked to the case from the premises of the former minister.
The CBI had earlier quizzed Mishra twice in connection to the death of Deputy Chief Medical Officer (CMO) YS Sachan,
NRHM scam involves looting of funds meant for rural health schemes under the project.
Several killings have been linked to the scam that involves funds worth Rs 5000 crore, according to reports.
