A special court in Gujarat on Friday convicted nine people and acquitted 32 others in the third case connected to the 2002 post-Godhra Ode massacre.
The quantum of sentence will be stated later.
The Ode killings in one of the nine post-Godhra riot cases that were probed by the Supreme Court appointed Special Investigation Team (SIT).
The incident is connected to a post-Godhra train massacre where three people were burnt to death by a mob in Anand district´s Ode village in 2002.
41 people were undergoing trial in connection to the case.
The infamous Gujarat riots of 2002 left hundreds of Muslims dead, injured and tortured and came as a blot in the BJP rule in the state.
The riots followed an incident of train burning in Godhra in which Hindus returning from Ayodhya were killed by a Muslim mob.
Around 1,000 supporters of prime accused Maulvi Umarjihad attacked the coach at the Godhra station and torched it killing 59 people and injuring many.
