Operation Blue Star hero stabbed in London

London: Lieutenant General Kuldeep Singh Brar, who led Operation Blue Star in the Golden Temple, was stabbed by three unidentified men here on Monday.

General Brar, according to sources, was on a personal visit to London, and was attacked outside his hotel. He was stabbed on his neck.

He was rushed to the hospital where he underwent a surgery, and is set to be in critical condition.

General Brar's wife was with him when he was attacked.

External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna has, as per sources, spoken to his family.

Gen Brar was on the hit list of many Sikh militant groups and had Z category security.
