The icebreaker

“I grew up listening to radio, but the generation after mine didn’t know what radio was. I was inspired by an AIR programme called VRG Neram, and I never missed good radio programmes,” says RJ Gopi, who is hard to miss with his flashy clothes and accessories.

A Loyolite and an ardent fan of Rajnikanth and Bruce Lee, RJ Gopi believes in initiating a conversation with others and putting them at ease by breaking the ice himself.

Does he believe in politicians? He will say, “Yep! I like Karunanidhi as a leader and a politician”.

“I am a Chennaiite and I know the pulse of the city,” he adds. His biggest asset is his high confidence level.
