Over 19,000 cases RTI cases pending in Andhra

Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Information Commissioner Jannat Hussain said here today that 19,306 cases under Right to Information Act were pending with the state Information Commission.

In the last five years, fine of Rs 4,55,500 was collected from officials for laxity in providing the information sought under Right to Information within stipulated time, he said.
