The chief of Jamaat-e Islami (JI), Syed Munawar Hasan has appealed to the world community to take immediate notice of terrorism and ongoing human rights violation in Bangladesh.
Talking to various delegations at Mansoora on Friday, after his returning from Turkey, he urged for the United Nations emergency meeting to discuss the situation in Bangladesh where the Hasina Wajid government was desperate to crush its political opponents.
He warned that if the brutalities of Bangladesh government were not stopped immediately, the country would face a civil war, the Nation reports.
The JI chief condemned the silence of the world community, the Human Rights bodies and the Pakistan government on the state terrorism in Bangladesh.
He said that the JI workers and leaders had committed no crime, but they had made every effort to safeguard Pakistan's solidarity and to foil India's plans to break up the country, the report added. (ANI)
