The Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered that the one-man Shoaib Suddle Commission, which was formed to probe the Arsalan Iftikhar case, be dissolved.

A two-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Jawaad S Khawaja heard the Arsalan Iftikhar case in which the commission's report was presented, reports The News.

The court said there was no need to probe the case any further as it was an issue between two individuals and they could take up the matter in any forum.

Pakistani real estate tycoon Malik Riaz's counsel Zahid Bukhari said they had raised reservations regarding the commission. According to Bukhari, the commission will no longer be allowed to conduct any investigation. Bukhari maintained that the allegations against Arsalan leveled by Riaz were accurate.

The counsel for Arsalan, Sardar Ishaq said a decision to file damages cases against his client's accusers will be made after reviewing the three reports of the commission.

Meanwhile, Arsalan said he had submitted a 200-page statement to the commission regarding allegations leveled by Riaz.

"I completely presented myself for accountability," Arsalan said, and added that he would take action against Riaz after consulting with his legal team and file the "biggest damages case in the history of Pakistan". (ANI)
