New Delhi, Oct 30 (IBNS) India's Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday gave the green signal for Pakistan's tour for a short ODI series in December-January.

Rajeev Shukla, vice-president of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman, met Union Home Secretary R.K.Singh and discussed the tour.

"All aspects of the tour were discussed and the tour is on," said Shulka.

Pakistan will tour India for three one-day internationals and two Twenty20 matches. The tour will start in the last week of December and ends in the first week of the New Year.

Pakistan will arrive on December 22 ahead of the first ODI three days later. Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata and Ahmedabad are the probable venues.

The series will be the first bilateral series between the two countries since the Mumbai terror attacks in November 2008.

The last time the two teams met for bilateral series was when Pakistan toured India in 2007.
