Paris Hilton wows Mumbai showbiz

The gorgeous socialite, actor, model and business woman from Hollywood, Paris Hilton is having some fun in the parties in Mumbai as she is on her first trip to India.

The American Hilton hotel chain heiress is touring India to launch her bags and accessories line in this country.

Paris Hilton, who drew world media attention with her controversial participation in a sex tape in 2003, will launch her handbag line at a shopping mall in Mumbai on Sunday, her official website mentioned.

"Today is the day! I will be at Inorbit Mall near Hypercity today at 6pm to meet all of you! I can´t wait to launch my handbag line here in India and see all of your faces," her official site quoted her as saying.

Paris fever has slowly gripped the Mumbai showbiz circuit and this was proved from the reaction of model Poonam Pandey who is eager to meet her on Sunday.

Pandey tweeted : "ohhh @ParisHilton is Coming Near to my House today at 6pm.. in Inorbit Mall... i want to Meeeeeeeeeeeet her :(("

She was seen draped in a beautiful pink dress on Saturday as she interacted with the press in Mumbai.

"I always wanted to come to India," she said.

Later in the night, Hilton attended a party that was hosted by socialite Queenie Singh as B-town celebrities joined the occasion.

"Had the best time at my party last night! Met so many amazing people! The women in India are so exotic & gorgeous," she tweeted.

"What a night! Paris is amazing ..what positive energy and so gracious," the host of the party Queenie Singh tweeted.

The long list of Bollywood celebrities who attended the party on Saturday night were Shazahn Padamsee, Kangana Ranaut, Mandira Bedi, Bipasha Basu, Laila Khan, Nishka Lulla, Gul Panag, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, Anusha Dandekar, Vidya Malvade, Sophie Choudry , Laila Khan Soniya Mehra's , Sushmita Sen.

Paris Hilton is on a three day trip to India.
