New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will host a dinner for UPA allies on Friday, ahead of the Winter session of Parliament beginning on November 22.
According to reports, Singh is expected to finalize the government's strategy to face the Opposition's attacks during the session with respect to issues such as FDI.
Last week, the Prime Minister had hosted dinner for Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and his son Akhilesh. He also had lunch with BSP chief Mayawati. Both the parties provide outside support to the government.
Singh's efforts come in the wake of the Left having already tabled a motion in both Houses that will seek a vote on the FDI. BJP, its ally JD(U) and the Trinamool Congress, have also given similar notices.
On Wednesday, DMK chief M Karunanidhi said that his party would reveal later what its stand on FDI is going to be.
