PM's greetings for Gudi Padva, Chaitra Sukladi, Ugadi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Sunday greeted the nation on the occasion of Gudi Padva, Chaitra Sukladi, Ugadi and Cheti Chand, which are being celebrated tomorrow in different parts of the country.

In his message, the Prime Minister said these traditional New Year festivals not only signify the amazing cultural diversity of the country but also attest to its essential unity.

"These festivals are occasions of joy and happiness and provide us an occasion to take stock of the days gone by and plan and look to the future with hope," he said.

"May these festivals usher in peace, prosperity and joy to all," Singh added.
