Chennai: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPAChairperson Sonia Gandhi and other Congress leaders willcampaign for the DMK-led Democratic Progressive Alliance inTamil Nadu for two days from tomorrow for the May 13 LokSabha polls, a Senior Congress functionary said here today.
During his visit to the city tomorrow, the Prime Ministerwill call on DMK President M Karunanidhi, undergoing treatmentfor fever at a private hospital since last Sunday and later inthe afternoon, he would address a press conference, Congressleader D Sudharshanam told reporters here.
On May 10, Sonia Gandhi will address a public meetingalong with Karunanidhi and alliance party leaders, he said.
The meeting was scheduled to be held on May six. However,it was postponed following Karunanidhi's hospitalisation andSonia Gandhi's insistence on sharing the dais with him.
This will be the first interaction between the seniorCongress leaders and Karunanidhi after Rahul Gandhi's reportedremarks on May 5 that his party saw DMK's arch rival AIADMK asone of the post-poll partners.
