In another significant development in the battered baby Falak case, the Delhi police have tracked down the three-year-old sister of the baby who is currently undergoing treatment in AIIMS hospital at the capital.

Falak´s elder sister, Sanobar, was found in Bihar on Monday, media reports said.

Sanobar was brought to Delhi and is currently staying at a welfare home.

Falak´s five year old brother still remains missing.

Meanwhile, doctors on Tuesday said that the condition of the battered baby is ´stable´. The baby is still on a ventilator.

Earlier, the police had tracked down "Munni", the baby's biological mother.

She has reportedly asked for the custody of Falak.

Munni was tracked down by the police in Rajasthan about a week ago and has been brought to Delhi on Monday, based on the statement of her employer Lakshmi, who claims that Munni left Falak with her in Sept and disappeared.

The 22-year-old woman, who claims to already have two other children, is said to have told the police that she was married to a man who forced her into prostitution and so she ran away last year.

Falak's shocking tale came to the fore after she was brought to AIIMS on Jan 18 by a 15-year-old girl in a bruised and battered condition with severe head injuries, fractures and human bite marks all over her.

The teenage girl, who the police say is herself a victim of abuse, initially claimed to be Falak´s mother but later conceded that she was handed over the child by a man named Rajkumar, who is considered to the main suspect in the case for whom police are still on the lookout.

Meanwhile doctors treating Falak, who has undergone multiple surgeries, have said the baby is still critical and was put back on a life support system on Sunday.
