1950'S American pop star Chubby Checker has filed a 320 million pound-lawsuit against technology firm Hewlett-Packard for naming a mobile phone app after him which invites women to calculate a man's penis size by entering their shoe size.
According to lawyers for Checker, whose real name is Ernest Evans, the app, also named Chubby Checker, has caused 'damage' to their client by adding a sexual connotation to the pop star's name, the Daily Mail reports.
The lawyers said that app, which has been developed by a company called Magic Apps, has tricked any buyers and prospective customers into believing that the plaintiffs have endorsed the defendant's app.
The suit also claimed that the app has ruined the stage name of the rocker, which he trademarked in 1997. (ANI)
