Gurgaon, March 22 (IANS) Punjab beat Himachal Pradesh by two wickets in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Twenty20 tournament here Friday.
Punjab won the toss and put Himachal in to bat.
Siddharth Kaul was the star of the match scalping four Himachal wickets as the entire team were bowled out for 100 runs in 19.5 overs.
Rishi Dhawan was the top scorer for Himachal with 31 runs in 33 balls smashing four boundaries.
Chasing the target, Punjab lost wickets at regular intervals but scored at an incredible run rate despite losing wickets.
Punjab scored 101 runs in 9.4 overs losing eight wickets.
Amitoze Singh Punjab made 15 runs in just six balls with two boundaries and a six.
