A Punjabi food festival is on at Kebab-e-Que, a restaurant at Astor hotel.
The festival, which started on December 6, will continue till December 16.
The festival, called 'Pukka Punjabi´, will give the celebrate a vigorous variety of Punjabi spicy food, said RK Palta, general manager of the Hotel.
Punjabi traditional recipes such as makki di roti and sarson da saag would be on the menu.
Food enthusiasts would get to taste starters such as gooler kebab, firozepuri makki kebab, chann de achari paneer tikkey, chicken fry belli ram and sharabi jhingey.
V.K. Dhar, the chef behind these delicacies told IBNS, "People can taste the real Punjabi robust food here. The marination process, ingredients and spices are all authentic."
"Besides the typical makki di roti with sarson da saag, there would be a range of full Punjabi meals like choley bhaturey, dal amritsari, paneer kofte for the vegetarians," Dhar said.
"The non- veg lovers would find delicacies such as patiala sahi chicken, butter chicken and saag gosht. There will also be rahra gosht, where mutton cubes are cooked with keema or minced meat. Missi roti, makkhan lagi roti and sitara paratha would also be available," he said.
For deserts, there is gajrella, rabri and keshari kulfi ke faludey, along with lassi.
"The buffet costs Rs 800 a couple, excluding taxes," said Palta.
