London, Feb 19 (IBNS) Her Majesty The Queen of United Kingdom Elizabeth II and Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip will visit Hindu Krishna-Avanti Primary School in Edgware in Greater London on the first day of her Diamond Jubilee tour on March 29.
According to reports, the events on the occasion at this Hindu school will include unveiling a commemorative tapestry, watching a "community spectacular" stage show including dance and music, and a photography exhibition.
Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) on Sunday, said that Hindu community in UK and the world was honored by the Queen's gesture of launching her Diamond Jubilee tour with a visit to the Britain´s first state-funded Hindu school.
In 2010, Queen Elizabeth, who is Supreme Governor of the Church of England, acknowledged contributions of "all faiths" while inaugurating Ninth General Synod of the Church on England in Westminster (UK). In 2009, Queen hosted Bollywood and Bhangra dances at Buckingham Palace in London.
