Kottayam : Over four lakh ration shops all over India would down shutters on September 7 in protest over the Supreme Court order on imposing restrictions on distribution of foodgrain through PDS to Above Poverty Line families.
Ration Dealers Association general secretary Babychen Mukkadan told reporters here that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should convene an all-party meet on the issue.

The Centre should also prefer an appeal against the verdict, he said.
