A court in Delhi on Saturday granted bail to Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) Australian recruit Luke Pomersbach, who was charged of allegedly molesting a woman and assaulting her fiance'.

The court directed the Australian cricketer to surrender his passport and not to leave the country.

He was granted bail against a surety of Rs. 30,000.

The CCTV footage of a five-star hotel where the incident took place was shown by the Delhi Police to Metropolitan Magistrate Navita Kumari Bagha.

The court had directed the police to submit footage from security cameras of the hotel and medical report of the woman´s fiance.

The 27-year-old cricketer, who was released on interim bail hours after being arrested Friday, has denied the charges.

After being arrested on Friday, Pomersbach appeared in the Patiala House Court and was released on an interim bail till Saturday with a surety of Rs.20,000.

The Australian cricketer fainted after he was brought to the Patiala House Court from the hospital.

Delhi police officials said Pomersbach allegedly misbehaved with the woman, a US citizen of Indian origin, at the Maurya Sheraton Hotel here during a party late Thursday night.

A case has been registered against him under various sections of IPC including section 354 of IPC (outraging modesty of woman), 323 (hurt), 454 (lurking house trespass) and 511 (Punishment for attempting to commit offences punishable with imprisonment for life or other imprisonment).

The woman in her statement said that Pomersbach invited himself for some drinks with the couple and some common friends from Mumbai in their room.

After some time, the women left her friends to catch some sleep but the Australian followed her and misbehaved with her. When the women´s fiancee intervened, Pomersbach allegedly beat him up as well landing him in hospital.

The woman also claimed that there was tremendous pressure on her to withdraw the case.
