Royal pregnancy: Sick Kate in hospital

London, Dec 4 (IBNS) While the world celebrates the royal pregnancy after it was confirmed that Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge and wife of British throne's successor Prince Williams, is expecting, the mother-to-be was admitted in a hospital with severe morning sickness on Monday, fuelling also speculations that she might be delivering twins.

Kate and William a day ago confirmed Monday they were on the family way, ending speculations of months over a possible royal pregnancy.

Media reports said Kate was admitted to King Edward VII Hospital in central London.

Reports said she would have to remain in hospital for some days.

According to reports, Williams spent hours at the bedside of Kate and left the hospital at around 8-15 pm Monday (London time) and would return to be by her again Tuesday.

Reports said the couple wanted to reveal the prenancy during Christmas but were forced to reveal owing to the sickness of Kate.

Kate, who is now 30, is about eight weeks´ pregnant, UK media reports said.

British Prime Minister David Cameron wished the couple by tweeting: "I´m delighted ... They will make wonderful parents."

The wedding of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine Middleton took place on April 29, 2011 at Westminster Abbey in London.

Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, is the eldest son of Charles, Prince of Wales, and is second in the line of succession to the British Throne and the thrones of fifteen other Commonwealth realms.

Catherine "Kate" Middleton is the eldest of three children of Michael and Carole Middleton of Bucklebury, Berkshire.
