Both Houses of the Parliament were adjourned on Tuesday as the Opposition created ruckus over issues including Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in multi-brand retail.
The Rajya Sabha was adjourned till Wednesday after an uproar over the SC/ST quota.
The Lok Sabha was adjourned till 2 pm amid ruckus over FDI in multi-brand retail issue.
Earlier in the day, the question hour was suspended again on the fourth day of the Winter Session of the Parliament and both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned till noon.
Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar tried her best to make the question hour continue by appealing to the women MPs to let a question on crime against women be put. But her attempts were drowned in the ruckus the Opposition created.
Meanwhile, the all-party meeting called by the government on Monday to break the logjam in Parliament over the FDI in multi-brand retail issue failed to reach a consensus.
The Parliament has not been able to function since the beginning of the Winter Session last week because of sustained protests by the Opposition in both Houses over FDI in multi-brand retail.
Both Houses of the Parliament were also adjourned for the day on Monday as the Opposition continued to create uproarious scenes over the same issue.
