The Income Tax (I-T) department on Tuesday said it has summoned businessman Sahil Peerzada to scrutinize his tax returns and business deals.
The I-T department has asked Sahil to appear before it on May 30 for interrogation.
He has been reportedly directed to bring all key documents including details of his business connections and bank statements.
Sahil was summoned by the I-T department on the suspicion that his income might be disproportionate to what he had filed in the returns.
According to reports, the I-T department is likely to quiz him on his source of income.
I-T department sources said Sahil´s family business was worth Rs 3,000 crore.
Sahil grabbed limelight recently for his alleged brawl with Indian Premier League (IPL) side Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)´s player Luke Pomesrbach.
Luke was earlier arrested and later released on bail for on charges of assaulting an American citizen Zohal Hameed in a five-star hotel in the capital and beating up her fiance Sahil.
