Salman Khan starrer 'Ek Tha Tiger' that had set the box-office cash register ringing last year in India has been released in Japan on Thursday.
The film´s director Kabir Khan who travelled to Tokyo to promote the film tweeted: "So #EkThaTiger is now finally launched in Japan. We had a lovely premier last night... We release with 30 prints & will scale upto 70 :-)"
Speaking about the responses from the audiences on "Thaiga Densetsu No Supai" (´Ek Tha Tiger´), Khan had earlier tweeted:"Just got over with a packed press conference in Osaka. Happy to see the excitement in Japan about the release of #EkThaTiger :-)"
The premiere in Tokyo on March 7 reportedly witnessed a huge crowd turning up for the film along with continuous cheer during the film screening.
The film, that has Katrina Kaif paired with Salman Khan with a storyline on a love affair between an Indian RAW agent and a Pakistani ISI spy, was released on August 15 and made a whopping business last year by earning Rs.200 crore.
