The SBI PO Recruitment 2015 has undergone a makeover in it's selection procedure. There are three phases to pass for the final selection to be complete. You can read more on this in detail here.

The Preliminary Examination (Phase I) is knocking on the door and all of you must be preparing in full swing for the exam.

Here are a few tips and strategies to get the best out of your preparation.

The preliminary examination acts as a qualifier for the Main Examination which means that this examination is expected to be relatively easier and will test mostly basic knowledge. The marks of the Prelim exam will not be considered in the final assessment.

  • Examination Dates:20.06.2015, 21.06.2015, 27.06.2015 and 28.06.2015;
  • Duration of the Examination: 1 hour
  • Total marks: 100

There are a total of 3 sections and all three are compulsory. SBI will decide on a pass mark for each section which the candidate has to secure to qualify for the Main Examination.

There is negative marking of 1/4 marks in both preliminary and main examination. So make sure you attempt the questions for which you know the answers one hundred percent and save time to work on other questions if needed.

Ensure that you take time to prepare well on the topics given. While preparing give more priority to Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude since these are of 35 marks/section.

Attempt online timed mock tests to ensure that you practice enough. The last one week before the prelims should be spent not on learning the topics but on taking mock tests and revising concepts you feel you are weak in.

Good luck to those who are writing the examination this year!
