Is a heated romance brewing between Pakistan's Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar and the Chairman of the Pakistan People's Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari?
A report in the Bangladesh tabloid Weekly Blitz, which has since been picked up by many websites and newspapers in India, wants us to believe so.
The latest buzz is that Khar's millionaire businessman husband Firoze Ghar with whom she has two daughters has sought the help of Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency to get call details of two numbers he believes the lovers used.
The 23-year-old Oxford-educated Bilawal is reportedly even willing to forsake his political future and settle down in Switzerland with the 34-year-old Khar, once she divorces her husband.
Standing in the way of the two lovers apparently is Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari who learnt of the romance according to the tabloid"when the duo was caught in a compromised situation inside the official residence of the President, where his son Bilawal Bhutto also resides".
An incensed Zardari apparently summoned Khar and told her to leave his "minor son" alone.
The Pakistan President was also said to have spared no effort in bringing about a rapprochement between Khar and her husband, but Khar apparently would have none of it.
A member of a powerful Pakistani feudal family herself, the Pakistan foreign minister is said to have flayed Zardari for his "meanness" and told him to avoid "poking his nose into her personal affairs".
Interestingly, Pakistan's usually robust media hasn't yet filed a single report on the 'romance'.
