Schedule for 2012 State Legislative Assembly elections

The Election Commission of India has announced the following schedule for five states - Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Manipur. Dates for Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh will be announced later in the year.

Manipur:

Voting will take place on Saturday, 28 January, 2012 (Single Phase)

Punjab:

Voting will take place on Monday, 30 January, 2012 (Single Phase)

Uttarakhand:

Voting will take place on Monday, 30 January, 2012 (Single Phase)

Uttar Pradesh:

Voting will take place over seven phases on the following dates -

Wednesday, 8 February 2012
Saturday, 11 February 2012
Wednesday, 15 February 2012
Sunday, 19 February 2012
