
New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief ministerial candidate VK Malhotra were on Monday leading in their respective constituencies.
Dikshit was leading by over 1,100 votes in New Delhi constituency against BJP legislator from Saket Vijay Jolly while Malhotra had an edge of 2,500 votes in Greater Kailash constituency.

Elections in Delhi were held in 69 of 70 assembly constituencies. The polls in the Rajendra Nagar constituency had been deferred following the death of BJP's candidate Puran Chand Yogi.
In the outgoing assembly, the Congress had 47 members and BJP 20. Delhi had recorded nearly 58 per cent polling.
